Output price indices, Slovenia, October 2010

In October 2010, the industrial producer prices increased by 0.3% at the monthly level and by 3.5% at the annual level.

Output prices grew by 0.3% in October 2010. In October 2010 the output prices were 0.3% higher than in September: the prices of manufactured goods sold on the domestic market were higher by 0.4% and the prices of export products by 0.1%. Among groups of activities showing the dynamics of prices by end-use of products, price increases were recorded among intermediate goods and capital goods (in each by 0.4%) and in the group energy (by 0.3%). The prices of consumer goods remained the same as in September 2010. In October 2010 the output prices increased the most in printing and reproduction of recorded media (by 2.3%), in manufacture of textiles (by 1.3%), in manufacture of motor vehicles and trailers (by 1.0%), in manufacture of basic metals and in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (in each by 0.7%) and in electricity (by 0.5%).
The prices went down in manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and preparations (by 1.4%), in other manufacturing (by 0.9%), in manufacture of furniture and in manufacture of computer and optical products (in each by 0.3%).
 
The prices of manufactured goods sold on the domestic market in October 2010 higher by 0.4%. The prices of manufactured goods sold on the domestic market were 0.4% higher in October 2010 than in September. Higher prices were recorded in manufacture of coke and petroleum products (by 3.2%), in printing and reproduction of recorded media (by 2.3%), in manufacture of fabricated metal products (by 1.0%), in manufacture of basic metals and in manufacture of textiles (in each by 0.8%). In October 2010 only few price decreases were recorded: in other manufacturing (by 1.8%), in manufacture of computer and optical products (by 0.6%) and in manufacture of furniture (by 0.1%).

In October 2010 the prices of exported products grew by 0.1%. In October 2010 the prices of exported products were higher by 0.1%; the prices of products sold on the markets of the euro area countries increased by 0.6%, while the prices of products sold on the markets of the non-euro area countries decreased by 0.8%. Higher prices of exported products were recorded in manufacture of textiles (by 1.6%), in manufacture of motor vehicles and trailers (by 1.3%), in manufacture of basic metals and in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (in each by 0.7%) and in manufacture of rubber and plastic products (by 0.4%). The price decreases were recorded in manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products (by 0.9%), in manufacture of fabricated metal products (by 0.7%) and in other manufacturing (by 0.5%).
 
In one year output prices higher by 3.5%. From October 2009 to October 2010 output prices grew by 3.5%. In the same period the output prices on the non-domestic market went up by 3.9% and on the domestic market by 3.1%. The annual price rise of industrial products sold on the markets of the euro area countries amounted to 4.1% and on the markets of the non-euro area countries to 3.2%. Higher prices than a year before were recorded in manufacture of basic metals (by 18.2%), in water collection, treatment and supply (by 10.6%), in manufacture of textiles (by 10.3%) and in manufacture of fabricated metal products (by 5.2%). In one year prices went down the most in printing and reproduction of recorded media (by 6.8%), in electricity (by 1.4%) and in manufacture of electrical equipment (by 0.8%).
