In the third quarter of 2010 the number of passengers who entered Slovenia via road and railway border crossings with Croatia and via border crossings in maritime and air transport stayed almost at the level of the third quarter of 2009.
In the third quarter of 2010 road cross-border passenger traffic slightly exceeded that of the year before. Compared to July–September 2009, in July–September 2010 passenger entries by road increased by 1.3%, while compared to the first nine months of 2009 passenger entries in January–September 2010 decreased by 0.2%.
Cross-border goods traffic better than cross-border passenger traffic. Compared to the third quarter of 2009, in the same period of 2010 cross-border traffic of goods went up in both directions (by 9.7% in inbound and by 2.4 % in outbound). Compared to the first nine months of 2009, in the same period of 2010 inbound goods traffic went up by 12.2% and outbound goods traffic by 2.7%.
