Serbia's Delta Holding Opens Hypermarket in Sofia
Bulgaria's first hypermarket owned by Serbian industry giant Delta Holding Tempo was opened in Sofia on Thursday. This is one of the first Serbian companies to operate "in the European Union market", said announcements. The €20 million investment was opened by the Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, who said that the cooperation between Serbia and his country is good and increasingly developing.
His Serbian counterpart Mirko Cvetkovic had planned to come to Sofia to take part in the ceremony, but he had to return to Belgrade midflight due to a technical problems on his airplane. Delta Holding owner Miroslav Miskovic invited Bulgarian entrepreneurs to visit Belgrade to discuss the placement of their goods in his company's retail network.
He said that the network has nearly 500 stores, which are located in Serbia and the regional countries of Bulgaria, Albania, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The hypermarket opened today is located at the center of Sofia, and covers an area of 30,000 square metres.
