In September 2010 the production of industrial products and services decreased, while stocks stayed almost the same as in the previous month. Industrial production in September lower than in August. Industrial production in September 2010 decreased by 2% compared to the previous month and increased by 5% compared to September 2009. In the first nine months of 2010 compared to the same period of the previous year industrial production grew by 6%.
In September industrial production higher only in one activity. Compared to the previous month, industrial production increased only in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, namely by 6%, while it decreased in mining and quarrying (by 10%) and in manufacturing (by almost 2%). Compared to the same month of the previous year, in September 2010 an increase in industrial production occurred in mining and quarrying - by almost 23%, in manufacturing by 4% and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by almost 14%. Compared to the same period of the previous year, industrial production in the first nine months of this year slightly decreased in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (by 0.2%), while it increased in mining and quarrying (by almost 11%) and in manufacturing (by more than 6%).
Compared to the previous month, industrial production lower in all industrial groupings. Compared to August 2010, industrial production in September 2010 decreased in all industrial groupings: in intermediate goods industries by almost 2%, in capital goods industries by 2% and in consumer goods industries by 0.3%. Compared to September 2009, industrial production was higher in two industrial groupings: in intermediate goods industries (by more than 10%) and in capital goods industries (by more than 3%). In the first nine months of 2010 compared to the same period of the previous year industrial production increased in all three industrial groupings.
The value of stocks of industrial products remained almost the same as in the previous month.
Compared to the previous month, in September 2010 the value of stocks of industrial products stayed almost the same. The value of stocks compared to September 2009 decreased, namely by almost 6%. A 12% decrease was recorded also in the first nine months of the current year compared to the same period of 2009. In comparison with the previous month, in September 2010 the value of stocks of industrial products increased in mining and quarrying (by almost 2%), while they remained almost the same in manufacturing. The value of stocks of industrial products slightly decreased in almost all industrial groupings.
