Hiking, mountain climbing and mountain biking within the project “Hiking and Biking” are an important offer for the sustainable tourism of Montenegro. This year, the first significant revenues can be expected reports NTO. However even so, the Montengrin Government announces further strengthening of this offer in cooperation with and support of New Zealand, as a distinctive hiking and biking destination, and UNDP. Minister of Tourism Predrag Nenezic says that there are some six thousand kilometers of hiking and biking paths, of which a large number has already been marked.
The project has been implemented for three years now and it attracts great attention right now. Over 17 specialized tour operators from across Europe are bringing organized groups of guests to Montenegro and this year we will have the first quality, financial and physical indicators. However, this is just the beginning. Montenegro has a great chance to make a unified offer at this very small space with so many diversities.
