Albania Gov approves joining NATO's Intelligence Fusion Center

National Safety Commission, considered the draft law "On accession of the Republic of Albania in the Memorandum of Understanding for the organization, administration, security, financing and staffing of the Joint Information Center (Intelligence Fusion Centre - IFC).
Joint Information Center is a center analysis filed with the initiative of the United States of America and with the participation of member countries of NATO. Centre functions as a supporting organization of NATO and personnel contributed by all member states of the organization. Albania's membership in the center meets one of the obligations of our country after accession to NATO. The purpose of this center is to provide background information processed by intelligence services operational and strategic level very valuable to NATO operations. Albania and Croatia as new members of NATO did not yet have a representative in the center and, as such, are invited to join. The accession of Albania in this memorandum of understanding and participation in the Joint Information Center is commendable since NATO has no structure in the field of intelligence collection, but relies on the information of member states. After discussion, the Committee approved the bill in question and said it agreed to over the plenary session.
