SIEPA Exporter of the Year 2010 is the company Tigar Tyres from Pirot. The award for the Best Export Product went to Aling- Conel from Backa Palanka, while the award for the Best New Export Market went to Quadra Graphic from Belgrade. SME Exporter of the Year is the company Kolarevic from Pojate and the special recognitions in this category went to Ice Cream Factory from Nova Pazova and FSO Gosa from Simicevo. The Corporate Social Responsibility Exporter of the Year was awarded to Amiga from Kraljevo.
Company Tigar Tyers was selected as Exporter of the Year primarily due to large participation of export activities in company's gross revenues totaling 92.6%, but also for increasing the number of employees and investment in production. This company is a successful example of a foreign investment contributing to the overall Serbian export. The Best Export Product of the Year was won by Aling-Conel for their program consisting of installation switches, electrical connectors, and switch boards, which found a large number of buyers in the markets of Russian Federation and EU. In the category of small and medium sized enterprises the award went to the domestic producer of furniture Kolarevic, which generated 90% of its profit in the markets of Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Spain. Special recognitions in this category were awarded to Ice Cream Factory for ice cream export to Russia, as well as to FSO Gosa, which based its entire production of automatic mixers for concrete for export to Germany, USA, Brazil, Belgium and India. Conquering the New Market Award went to Quadra Graphic, which managed to sell its products on the markets of Azerbaijan, Nigeria, Togo, Finland and Poland, despite fierce competition among producers from all over the world. Quadra Graphic produces wide and attractive assortment of scratch lottery tickets, prepaid mobile phone cards, as well as sim cards for mobile operators and gift vouchers.
For the first time this year, SIEPA established the award for Corporate Social Responsibility and presented it to Amiga company. Despite numerous hardships that economy and especially the citizens of Kraljevo encountered, this company managed to take part in in various humanitarian activities and has actively helped alleviate the earthquake consequences, by deploying its full potential in mechanization and workforce.
This year's sponsors of the Exporter of the Year Award include Eurobank EFG, which handed in a check of 15.000 euros to the Kolarevic company for their efforts in improving the export activities, followed by DHL International Beograd, which gave a 10.000 euros in export services to Quadra Graphic, and Orange Studio, awarding Aling-Conel with 10.000 euros to support a promotional marketing campaign. SIEPA awarded Amiga with a specialized training for employees with the aim to improve sales, efficiency and work related capacities.
A special Committee comprised of: Vice President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Mihajlo Vesovic, Deputy Minister of Economy and Regional Development, Nenad Ilic, professor at the Economic Faculty of the Belgrade University, Sasa Veljkovic, Editor in Chief of the Economist magazine Vojislav Stevanovic and Director of SIEPA Bozidar Laganin, who was also presiding over the Committee, selected this year's candidates. SIEPA has been awarding Exporter of the Year since 2004, with the aim that this state recognition stimulates new export undertakings of the export oriented enterprises in Serbia. The award winning companies have an exclusive privilege to use the Exporter of the Year logo in their material.
