This year summer tourist season, despite difficulties in the beginning, was more successful than the previous and fulfilled expectations of the Ministry of Tourism, stated Minister Predrag Nenezic.
He said that the Ministry is satisfied with all that Montenegro has made in terms of the summer tourist season.
The Minster Nenezic stated:,,At the beginning of the season there was plenty of pessimism and skepticism, but they all were denied in July, August and September, and optimistic forecasts realized.’’ Ten months income from tourism was 627 million, with growth of tourists of 4.5 percent and 5.5 percent of nights. This year, he said, were completed major projects, including the Regional Water Supply, as well as travel and transport infrastructure with an investment of 65 million EUR. Majority of tourists this year has been from the region, about half as and the European Union (EU), Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and other countries.
