Ambassador of Slovakia to Macedonia Robert Kirang said that Montenegro is showing a much more dynamic approach than Macedonia when it comes to integration. He reminded that Macedonia was a candidate country since 2005 and it received the recommendation from the European Commission last year to start the negotiations for membership. However, this process was blocked on the political level.
He says the situation is different in Montenegro. Macedonia might be technically closer to the EU, but it should learn about the dynamics of that process from Slovakia and Montenegro. He added that the advantage of Montenegro is in the fact that it has no problems with the neighbours.
