Sweet manufacturer increases exports this year

Croatian confectionary company Favorit is dealing with the financial crisis sweetly - this year it expects to export 200 more tons of candy than it did in 2009. The value of company’s exports for 2010 is estimated to be one million Euros. Favorit – who is credited with the production of the first bubble gum in southeastern Europe - exported 500 tonnes of hard candy and 10 tonnes of chewing gum in 2009.

The company is also developing a new line of products in cooperation with nutritiounists, the daily Vecernji List writes. And it plans to expand onto the Chinese market in the next few months, following a recent presentation of its assortments at the international trade fair in China. Currently it exports to Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia.
