FYROM proposes establishing a network of health facilities and introducing health care concessions

Establishing a network of health facilities, introducing concessions, authorizing the quality of health and safety accreditation and supervision of health activities provides a new law on protection zdrvstvena whose working version today at a press conference presented by Health Minister Bujar Osmani.

- It is a systemic law that regulates the system functioning, and organization of health care and the principles and the conditions that will function the new health system. Its implementation should contribute to effectively address the current issues facing health care in FYR Macedonia, but also to address the challenges we will face in the future, said Osmani.
Minister of Health explained that the establishment of a network of health facilities regulation represents precisely the criteria for defining the network and the manner and conditions of doing business in the health network, but outside of it. The network will consist of private and public health institutions that will meet the criteria and conditions to be defined in law.

- Health activities will be conducted in facilities that are part of the network and representing the public interest of the citizens of FYR Macedonia will be financed by funds from the compulsory health insurance paid by the Fund. The institutions that will be part of the network will have to meet all the conditions defined by the regulations for health insurance under the same conditions and under the same price for all insured persons, said Osmani. For patients and citizens covered by health insurance, it would mean that all institutions are part of the network, whether public or private will be valid blue cards without having to pay out the legally defined participation. For private health facilities that perform activities outside the network will not apply kartonite.
