Modest economic recovery insufficient for pre-crisis trends

Two years since the onset of economic recession, BH’s economy is seeing some recovery, but not efficient to restore the pre-crisis trends, domestic economists warn.

BH started feeling the global crisis in late September of 2008, when a bank run began. According to the national statistics agency, the economy contracted by 2.9 per cent in 2009, and the first signs of recovery were registered this year, despite the fact that there are no official estimates of the GDP rate for the first two quarters of 2010.
