Communications group KDDI, number two on the Japanese mobile telephony market, with over 27 billion euros in annual turnover, is considering the possibility of tapping into the telecom and IT market in several Central and Eastern European countries, among which Romania, several sources on the telecom market told ZF. Talks are still in the early stages, but data about the telecom and IT services markets in Romania and their growth potential over the next few years - which KDDI managers were given details about during meetings held last month in Bucharest - are likely to be favourable to an investment, according to the cited sources.
